Unison Bike Phone Mount - Amazon Product Review

I recently decided to get back into biking both to check out some local trails and see some attractions, as well as for physical fitness. After getting my bike and going out on a few rides I decided I should grab some accessories, I wanted to get a water bottle holder, a phone mount, and a light.

I first decided to turn to some Amazon Discount sites like Snagshout and Vipon to see if I could pick-up the items at a discount.

This Unison Bike Phone Mount, usually sells for $13.69. They are currently running an automatic 8% coupon on Amazon, plus using a discount site promo code I got, I wound up getting my mount for just over $7.

Now when I initially began looking for mounts I noticed a lot of them only held the phone from the sides, this to me didn't seem too secure. Many other mounts are a plate you set your phone on with a silicone spider web looking wrap that attaches your phone to the plate. While this seemed more secure, it covers up part of your screen and seemed like a headache to take your phone on and off the mount, definitely not quick release. You can see what I'm talking about from the photo below.

So here's what I like about the Unison Bike Phone Mount. First off, it grabs the phone from all 4 corners making it very secure. The depth of the corner pieces is deep enough to hold even phones with cases, the one exception to this may be a really large case like an Otterbox.

The Unison mount is also big enough to accommodate any phone. It goes as small as 2.4" x 4.6" to as large as 3.4" x 6.9" so this should accommodate anything from a really small old iPhone to larger phones like an iPhone Plus, a Samsung Note, or even a Samsung Mega.

I also like how this case is quick release and easy to use. Just tap your phone into place and the grabber arms lock around your phone, want to release it to access your phone simply push the two sides and it pops right open for you.

This bike mount is incredibly easy to install as well, it's almost like a zip tie, just put the mount around your handlebars, pull tight, and then tighten with the plastic cap which secures things into place. Installation took all of about a minute. The mount also rotates as well so regardless of how you want to set it up it should work.

I just got back from a ride and having my phone mounted to my handlebars is incredibly convenient for changing songs while riding, answering a phone call, or following GPS directions.

I'd highly recommend buying one, you can't beat the price and the design of this style of mount as well as this particular mount is idea. You can buy it on Amazon here.
